A basic Macedonia Ministries experience is the Renewal weekend, when
a team of lay persons directs an intensive program for individual and congregational
renewal experiences.
A renewal weekend usually begins with a dinner on Friday night for the entire church membership, followed by a period of inspirational singing, witnessing by several members of the team and sharing in small groups. Special Breakfast, mid-morning or luncheon groups are held on Saturday for the men and women separately. A Spagetti supper is held Saturday Evening for the youth with sharing and contemporary music led by the youth members of the visiting team. At the same time small groups are held in homes scattered through the area. The team members lead Church School classes and the morning worship. The team then meets with the local committee over lunch for evaluation.
Many Christians have lost the vitality and excitement of their faith. They long for something more, a desire for a Christian experience which will be fulfilling and life changing. Macedonia Ministries seeks to stimulate renewed spiritual life so that persons come alive to God, themselves, others and the world.
